Sheldon Smith is a native of Cary, NC and is a 1980 graduate of North Carolina State University.
Sheldon is a natural entrepreneur who thrives on working with small business owners. He has owned and operated a number of small businesses in his lifetime and watched business cycles in several specific industry segments. At one point during the height of one of those businesses, his family’s forms business was the number one seller of paper in the Southeast. In the early years of another rapidly growing industry, Smith owned several cell phone stores as the general population adopted this new form of communication that even our children now take for granted. He joined the Insurance industry at the onset of the Affordable Care Act and learned of the multiple areas of insurance that touched everyone’s lives.
Smith’s ability to recognize and accept challenges and opportunities, combined with his great personality, have proven to be a successful formula for growth. His strong business acumen proves to be an asset to any business owner as Smith utilizes his team to explore issues and develop solutions.
Sheldon joined MassMutual North Carolina in 2016 and Mainmast Financial Group in 2020. He is also a founding member of Mainmast Financial Group.
